Mina Hamilton photo of mina

Mina is a certified Life Coach and a Professional Level Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher.  She has been teaching yoga in Manhattan and Brooklyn for 18 years.  Mina is also a certified Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist.

Mina is the author of Serenity To Go: Calming Techniques for Your Hectic Life. It has been translated into five languages including Korean, Japanese, Chinese, German and Dutch.  Serenity to Go is a hit in Japan where it has sold over 30,000 copies.

She has studied meditation with Thich Nat Hanh, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Toni Packer, and Jack Kornfield.

For her entire life Mina has been an ardent wildlife advocate and environmentalist. She was one of the leaders of the successful battle to stop the Tocks Island Dam. This was a mammoth US Army Corps of Engineers dam which would have flooded 30 miles of the Delaware River in NJ, PA and NY. She has been on the staff of the Sierra Club and served on the Greenpeace , USA Board of Directors.

She has had the great privilege of visiting with (and stroking) Grey Whales in their calving location in San Ignacio Lagoon in Baja, California.

Many years ago, she studied modern dance with Jose Limon and Martha Graham.

 

Sefla Joseph

Sefla is a Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher who has been practicing and teaching yoga for twenty years. She is currently also working with Yoga Nidra therapeutically. Sefla is a professional artist who combines her spiritual practice of yoga with her art in an effort to foster appreciation of self and others, and ways of living harmoniously in our world today.

Improvisational dance has long been a part of Sefla's life. She has worked with Julie Oak's RealPlay Moving Theaterand will be performing with Wide Blue Yonder Dance Company at CounterPULSE in San Francisco in April.
