How
does White Wolf YogaDance differ from regular yoga?
Do I have to be flexible or fit to do White
Wolf Yogadance?
Do I have to know how to meditate?
What kind of music do you use?
What if I've never danced?
What can I expect?

In White Wolf YogaDance (WWYD)
there are no set postures. Sometimes we'll do familiar postures,
such as warrior or cobra. We won't, however, focus on details of alignment
or fitness. Instead, we'll explore the fluidity of our spines,
finding a connection between our backbones and those of whales,
wolves and other creatures. We'll experience our bodies and minds
from the unique perspective of the continuum between humans and
nature.
Anybody
can do WWYD. We've had people with Parkinson's disease, large people,
old people, people who've never done yoga or dance, and blind
people enjoy and benefit from WWYD.
No prior experience with meditation
is necessary.
Our music is multi-cultural,
exotic and thrilling. We'll listen to the haunting melodies of
the Gyuto Monks, the mysterious songs of whales sounding off of
Antarctica, the whistle of Mongolian herders, the howls of wolves.
There may also be jazz, zydeco and tango.
In WWYD you are invited to be in your
body in a way that is both comfortable and safe for you - this
might mean simply moving the fingers on your hand. Or it could involve
rolling on the floor. Even the smallest movement can contain a powerful
revelation!
Expect to be inspired and moved. Expect
to like your own body, mind and spirit more. Expect to be surprised by
your own grace and beauty. Expect to connect more deeply with the planet
and its many creatures. Expect to laugh, cry and have FUN!!
